The IDTA is affiliated to EATA - the European
Association for Transactional Analysis.
Developmental TA
Transactional analysis is a social psychology, a theory
of human personality and a systematic approach for growth and personal change of
individuals, groups and organisations. International qualifications are
available (via the ITAA and EATA – the International and European TA
Associations) in four fields – Organisational, Educational, Counselling* and
Psychotherapy.
The term Developmental TA had now been adopted by the
IDTA as
this captures the emphasis on development rather than the psychotherapeutic
focus on cure.
